Would you like to be The Retrofit3D Design Engineer? A part of the core Retrofit3D team in Brno. You will provide mentorship and support eastern hemisphere sales team (Europe, MEAI and APAC) to evaluate, create, design, size, and draft products for the Retrofit3D severe service valve business.
As a Design Engineer you will be expected to evaluate mechanical components and technology strategies while also identifying opportunities to improve existing products and internal standards.

Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Design Engineer are to assess Retrofit3D project requirements, and design (innovative) solutions to solve customers’ problems in various control valve models and issue the Final Design Engineering Package for production:
- Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other relevant data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Verification and evaluation of project requirements; specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with Engineering requirements, design, and performance specifications
- Identifying project related product requirements, quantifying progress against project goals, and showing overall design responsibility by releasing the final product for manufacturing
- Conduct the design release in IFS
- Perform design reviews/checking of drawings to ensure quality standards are met
- Identifies, quantifies, and implement tools, methods, processes, and equipment to improve the quality, reliability, and productivity of the Design Engineering process
- Develops, analyses and improve product design standards to meet functionality, reliability, manufacturability, costs, and safety requirements.
- Work in close relationship with other Retrofit3D Design Engineers (particularly in the Eastern Hemisphere)
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Education in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- At least 3 years of relevant design experience in severe service valve industry
- Basic knowledge in 3D CAD modelling; Finite Element Method (FEM)
- MS Office and Product Data Management environment
- Creative approach for generating new ideas
- Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly
- Detailed knowledge in applicable pressure vessel codes
- Practical experience in Design-FMEA and root cause analysis
- Ability to analyze customer data and provide best technical solution
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and multiple stakeholders
- Good team working behavior
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
